For those of you that are unaware of the app, Yarn provides a similar experience to the adventure series of books popularly known as the “Choose Your Own Adventure”. Users get to read a story and at pivotal moments are forced to choose between different options that determine where the plot of the book continues. CEO, Benoit Vatere, recently announced that the app will now provide paid options as well which he believes will serve users with a fuller experience. Yarn is also producing unique titles with high profile celebrities/brands such as Beyonce and Archie Comics. With the new addition of features and content, Vatere hopes that user engagement will increase which will ultimately lead to more monetization opportunities.
