Apple has announced major price hikes for in-app purchases on App Store in multiple countries across Asia and Europe, starting October 5. The company said new prices will affect consumers in Chile, Egypt, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Poland, South Korea, Sweden, Vietnam, and all territories that use Euro. The percentage hike varies across regions. In Vietnam, Apple’s new price also includes remit applicable taxes, being value-added tax (VAT) and corporate income tax (CIT) at 5% rates, respectively.
