Truecaller Hits 500 Million Monthly Users

Sweden-based caller ID app Truecaller said that it has hit the milestone of 500 million monthly active users on its platform. The company said that it also crossed the mark of 150 million users outside India, its biggest market with over 350 million monthly users. The company said that it added 50 million users in 2025, and its user base has doubled in the past five years. In April 2025, Truecaller said it had more than 450 million users. The company also noted that more than 4 million people subscribe to its paid plans. Truecaller has been trying to expand its services beyond caller ID in the last few years. The company recently launched a feature that would allow one person to become an admin and end calls on behalf of users of their family group to avoid getting scammed. The company has also been experimenting with using AI to screen and answer calls.
