Starry, a Boston startup company, wants to extend its services from Boston to NYC. It also struck a deal with Related Companies, a real estate company, to allow their services to be used within their buildings and houses for an affordable price. The CEO of the company, Chet Kanojia, says his company will be able to provide internet upto 200 megabits per second for as low as $50 a month withno data caps, long term contracts and 24/7 customer support! Although, due to the complexity of the hardware setup, the company can only service certain areas and cities that have both high rise towers/buildings and low rise housing within close distances of each other. To date, Starry has already raised $163 million dollars and has visionary plans to disrupt the current internet supply industry.
