Robinhood, the stock trading platform that has gained popularity over the past couple of years will be rolling out a new version with updates focused to their newsfeed. The newsfeed will now contain content from Reuters, Barron’s and The Wall Street Journal with no additional ad charges or subscription costs to users. Their video content will also include content from CNN Business, Cheddar and Reuters with no ads. The update was made as Robinhood executives understood the importance of providing accurate and up to date news to its users that invest in the stocks offered on their platform. It also provides another avenue for attracting new users as they can begin to educate themselves before making the commitment of investing into different stocks.
