The goal of the Appetizer Mobile Lab is to push the boundaries of technology and design. Augmented Reality
Using your device’s camera, portals open in a 360 degree augmented reality playing field in your own environment. The user can throw, catch or hit incoming baseballs back into the portals.
Custom Items
PORTALBALL features over 14 unique bats and balls with varying impacts on gameplay. The properties of each bat and ball effect their spin and speed.
Sound Design
With custom sound effects, the spawning portals that appear in your surroundings are immersive and engaging. Our sound and audio technicians create custom music to complete the sci-fi experience.
Launch Event
For the official launch of PORTALBALL in the App Store, we held a launch event at the Modell’s Sporting Goods store in Times Square with Joe Girardi. There was a large media presence including Hot97, ABC7, FOX5, and USA Today.
